Meet Our Directors:
President Jamie Parke is a native of Bowling Green but has called Metcalfe County home since 1997. Jamie grew up in the Plum Springs community of Warren County and graduated from Warren East High School in 1990 and from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education in 1995 and a Master of Arts in Education in 2004. In January 2017, Jamie began her 20th year as an employee of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College where she has served as an Assistant Professor of Business, Admissions Advisor, Success Coach, and her current role as Coordinator for the Metcalfe County Adult Education program. Jamie and her husband, Chris, live on a farm with their black lab, Daisy, and enjoy raising beef cattle, fruits, and vegetables and are members of the Metcalfe County Cattlemen’s Association and the Metcalfe County Farmers Market. As a 2005 graduate of Leadership Metcalfe County, Jamie looks forward to making a positive impact and giving back to the community through her service to the Edmonton Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce.
Vice President Candy Shirley is the daughter of Bob & Rosetta Shirley. She graduated from MCHS in 1977. Candy attended KY Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY while working part time at Waldenbooks. She spent the next 26 years in the book business as a manager for Waldenbooks in Bowling Green and Nashville before moving back home to manage Barnes & Noble in Bowling Green. Since 2003 she has worked for North American Resource Group and Smith Realty. Candy is a lifelong member of the Edmonton United Methodist Church. She is active in the homemakers and the Metcalfe County Quilt Club. She is honored to be chosen as a vice-president for the chamber and looks forward to serving.
Secretary Chris Lagermann moved to Metcalfe County from Michigan in September of 2009. She and her husband Bill had purchased land they call “Red Lick Ranch” several years prior to that. Chris worked for Modern Woodmen of American and the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation prior to moving to Michigan in 1995. They relocated to St. Charles, MO where Bill operated an office for Design Systems, Inc. and Chris served as Office Manager, and moved to Farmington Hills, MI. in Feb. 2002. She and Bill have three sons, and 6 grandchildren. Bill and Chris co-authored “Blueberries – the Basics” for the KBGA. Chris is proud to be a member of the Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce, the 2013 Metcalfe County Leadership class, and the KY Blueberry Growers Association.
Treasurer Martha Bragg is a life long resident of Metcalfe County. She is married to Danny Bragg and they have 2 children, Daniel, a graduate of WKU and Brandon, a student at WKU. Daniel is married to the former Alley Morrison. Daniel and Alley have a daughter Rory. Martha has been treasurer of the chamber of commerce for over 20 years, the chairman of Metcalfe County Relay for Life and active in many other organizations. Martha truly enjoy helping others and making a difference in the lives of others. God has given her an ability to help many different organizations in Metcalfe County and she is thankful for that opportunity.
Director Lorrie Gilpin is a lifelong resident of Metcalfe County and lives near the Wisdom Community. She has a daughter, Lindsey who lives in Bowling Green and is a registered nurse at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, and a son, Andrew who lives at home and is employed by Sitel in Glasgow and is drummer for the band, Otis. Lorrie is a graduate of Metcalfe County High School and worked at South Central Bank for 13 years before accepting the position as Administrative Assistant for Metcalfe County Judge/Executive, Greg Wilson. Lorrie is proud to have been selected and looks forward to serving the Chamber as a Director.
Director Amy Branstetter is a lifelong resident of Metcalfe County. She graduated from Metcalfe County High School in 1991, and has a Master’s Degree in Agriculture from Western Kentucky University. Amy is the Metcalfe County Cooperative Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development. She is the daughter of Mike and Betty Branstetter of Edmonton. She has one son, Charles Thomas. They reside in Edmonton. Amy and Charles Thomas enjoy their mini farm and raising a Tennessee Walking Horse, registered Ayrshire and Brown Swiss Cattle and sheep.
Benny Lile is a 1979 graduate of Metcalfe County High School. He graduated the University of Kentucky in 1983 and began teaching 7th&8th grade science and social studies at North Metcalfe Elementary in 1985. After a two year stint with the Kentucky Department of Education he worked for the Barren County Board of Education until 2013 when he accepted the position of Superintendent of Metcalfe County Schools. Benny earned his doctorate from Western Kentucky University in 2012.
He is married to the former Chris McMurtrey of Summer Shade. They have two daughters, Cameron and Casey, and reside in the Center community.
Director Erica Hensley is a 1989 graduate of Metcalfe County High School and a 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. Erica and her husband Moe reside in the Summer Shade Community along with their two children, Max and Tatum, who both attend MCHS. Erica is a lifelong resident of Metcalfe County. She is employed at the Metcalfe County Attorney’s office, where she has worked for 19 1/2 years, prior to that she worked at Nunn Drugs, Inc. for 6 years. Moe and Erica moved to the family farm in 2010. They currently farm and raise beef cattle. Erica has served on the Lifeskills Board of Directors and is currently serving on the Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors, Metcalfe County 4-H Council and Metcalfe County High School Advisory Board. In her spare time Erica enjoys camping, going to the lake and spending time with her family and friends. Erica looks forward to this opportunity to serve as a director of the chamber and hopes to better serve her community.
Director Becky Tucker lives in Sulphur Well. She is married to Ronnie Tucker and they have two sons, Chris ( Angie) and Jason ( Jessica). They have 7 grandchildren Brilee, Gracie, Mason, Kruz, Zaylee , Ty and Allie Cole ( deceased). Becky works along with Ronnie at Wiliams &
Tucker Auto Parts, their family owned business. She is an active member of Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. She enjoys spending time with the grandchildren and attending their sports activities. Becky is honored to serve her community as a Chamber Board of Director for a second term.
Director Kandis Gallagher is a graduate of MCHS and has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Lindsey Wilson College. She married Matt Gallagher in 2000 and they have a daughter Konnor Gallagher who is 13 years old. She is a alumnus of Metcalfe County Leadership 2005. Kandis has been employed at Metcalfe Health Care Center for 14 years. Her job title is Social Services/Admissions Director. She enjoys running and runs several races throughout the year. She is proud to be able to say that she has run two marathons since 2014. Running with her friends and her daughter is one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoys trips to the beach and watching Konnor play tennis.
Director Kenny Scott resides in the Randolph Community of Metcalfe County with his wife, Sheila. Kenny has two daughters, Tiffany (Brad) Wilson of Smiths Grove and Mandy Scott of Summer Shade. He has three grandsons, Travis, Hunter and Lucas Wilson. Kenny is a 1972 graduate of Metcalfe County High School and a lifelong resident of Metcalfe County. He retired in 2016, after working at Dart Container for 28 ½ years. Kenny greatly enjoys retirement and being able to serve and be more active in the community. Kenny serves as an elder at Hickory College Church of Christ. He is presently on the Board of Directors at Barn Lot Theatre and serves as a Metcalfe County Magistrate in District 1. Kenny is a volunteer for the Metcalfe County School District and is also a member of the 2017 Leadership Metcalfe County. Kenny is proud to have been selected and looks forward to serving the Chamber as a Director.
Director Randy Sexton is the Co-owner of Southern Ky Realty & Auction Company, serving as principal broker & auctioneer, been a real estate agent and auctioneer for over 30 years. Also co-owner in DaRanco Inc., which developed several Senior Apartments and affordable housing across south central kentucky over the last 20 years. Along with his wife Debbie, who currently owns Main Street Custom Apparel in Edmonton, KY provides a variety of sports apparel and tee’s for teams, special events, schools and fund raising apparel. Was a member of the first Leadership of Metcalfe County class and had previously served as vice-president of the Edmonton Metclalfe County Chamber.
Student Representative Brilee Tucker is a junior at Metcalfe County High School and is the daughter of Chris and Angie Tucker. She’s a member of the basketball and softball teams as well as an active member of the FFA and National Honors Society. She has two brothers, Mason and Ty, along with one sister, Gracie. Brilee enjoys being out on the farm and plans to major in Animal Science at Western Kentucky University. She hopes her role as the student representative gets more youth involved within the community and that she will be a voice for students all over Metcalfe County.
Executive Director Gaye Shaw has worked for the Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce since its revitalization in September 1994. She has four sons, Chris (Brookie), Lee, Matthew (Melissa) and Jonathan , and five granddaughters Addison, Ava, Kenna, Adlee, and Lanna. Gaye is a member of Summer Shade Baptist Church, a member of the inaugural Leadership Metcalfe County 1999 Class, the Metcalfe County Safe Kids, a board member of the Metcalfe County Service Unit of the Salvation Army and a member of the Superintendent’s Roundtable. She actively supports the Metcalfe County Relay for Life. Gaye enjoys creating and sewing American Girl and Barbie Doll clothes and reading.
