SUMMARY:Edmonton Summer Fest Inaugural Diaper Derby
DESCRIPTION:How the Diaper Derby “Crawling Race” Works: \nThe Rules: Participants are usually under 12 months old and must not be walking yet. (Walkers enter the Diaper Dash) \nIf the baby stands up and/or walks he/she will be disqualified. Parents may not reach across the finish line to get their baby until the race is over. \nThe Lure: Parents stand at the finish line and try to entice their child to crawl forward. They are allowed to use specific toys\, cell phones\, or food\, but cannot cross the finish line or physically pull the baby. \n***Depending on how many babies are racing\, there will be additional races and then the final crawl-off*** \nAttire: Your Choice \n*No Entry Fee* \nThe Winner: The first baby to fully cross the finish line is crowned the winner. \nEarly Registration at Metcalfe Chamber Office or Jody Curry Used Cars (recommended) on site at 9:45AM June 6th.

DESCRIPTION:June 6th\, 10:30AM \nThe parade route will be around the town square. Beginning at Jody Curry Used Cars parking lot and ending at the entrance of Edmonton State Bank. \nAny child\, all adults – all ages are invited to participate. No cost – Just fun! \nWe encourage decorating a small ride-on such as big wheel\, tricycle\, strollers for babies\, push carts\, bicycles\, power wheels\, etc. \nNo gas/motor operated units (ATV) or animals. \n***Ride-ons will not be allowed in the courtyard where arts\, crafts\, and other concessions are set up after the parade*** \nAWARDS – Most Patriotic\, Best Theme\, Best Summer Theme\, Most Creative\, Best Costume\, Best Character \nAll children must be accompanied by an adult.
